IS MY TICKET PURCHASE TAX DEDUCTIBLE?

No. Prizes won are not taxable and therefore the ticket purchase cannot be used as a tax deduction.

HOW DO I RECEIVE MY TICKET?

Tickets will be emailed to the email address provided at time of purchase. To ensure you receive your tickets, please add [email protected] to your email sender safelist.

IF I WIN THE GRAND PRIZE VILLA, DO I HAVE TO LIVE IN IT OR CAN I SELL IT?

Once the home is awarded to the winner, they do NOT have to live in it. Any prize won can be sold if the winner wishes to do so.

HOW DO THE 50/50 AND CASH CALENDAR ADD-ONS WORK?

The 50/50 and Cash Calendar Add-Ons do not have to be ordered in conjunction with your Home Lottery ticket. 50/50 and Cash Calendar tickets can be purchased separately or added on to your Home Lottery ticket order.


50/50 Add-On: Single for $25, Five for $50 or Fifteen for $75. The payout for the 50/50 Add-On prize will be 50% of 50/50 Add-On tickets sales. The winner will take half the total jackpot and the Calgary Health Foundation will take half. The 50/50 Add-On ticket sales deadline is advertised in conjunction with the Home Lottery, therefore the ticket sales deadline is Midnight, July 18, 2025. On July 31, 2025, the winner’s name will be announced and posted online at CalgaryMountainHomeLottery.com.

Cash Calendar Add-On: Single for $25, Three for $50, Six for $75 or 10 for $100. There will be 1 cash prize of $165,000 on July 31, 2025, and daily cash prizes of $2,500 from August 1, 2025 until August 30, 2025. Total prize value of $240,000. The Cash Calendar Add-On is advertised in conjunction with the Home Lottery, therefore the ticket sales deadline is Midnight, July 18, 2025. The winners will be notified every day from July 31, 2025 until August 30, 2025 by the professional services firm of MNP LLP as to what they have won and how to claim their prize.

ARE LOTTERY WINNINGS TAXABLE?

Lottery winnings are considered a windfall and not taxable in Canada. For further details regarding the sale of such goods, please seek professional counsel.

DO I HAVE TO TAKE MY PRIZE OR CAN I JUST TAKE THE CASH?

All prizes must be accepted as awarded. There are no cash substitutes unless otherwise advertised.

HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO CLAIM MY PRIZE?

All prize winners have nintey days from the date of the draw to claim their prize.

HOW MANY NAMES CAN BE PUT ON A TICKET?

Only one name can be placed on a ticket. The ticket must contain a valid first and last name. In the event a ticket is purchased with a group, neither the licensed charity, MNP nor AGLC is responsible for any disputes among the individuals who purchased the ticket(s).

WHAT HAPPENS IF I CANNOT PICK UP MY PRIZE IN PERSON?

Arrangements may be made to have a prize shipped to you freight collect, or if someone other than yourself will be claiming the prize on your behalf, you must provide them with written and signed authorization along with your original prize-winning letter you received from MNP LLP.

CAN SOMEONE WHO LIVES OUTSIDE ALBERTA OR OVERSEAS BUY A TICKET?

Tickets must be purchased within the province of Alberta. Tickets will be mailed within the province of Alberta only. The lottery is intended for residents of Alberta.

HOW OLD DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO PURCHASE A TICKET?

Persons must be 18 years of age to purchase a ticket and the name of a person under 18 years of age may not be written on the ticket.

WHEN ARE THE DEADLINES/DRAWS?

  • The VIP ticket sales deadline is Midnight, May 30, 2025.
  • The VIP draw date is June 10, 2025.
  • The Early Bird ticket sales deadline is Midnight, June 20, 2025.*
  • The Early Bird draw date is July 11, 2025.
  • The Final ticket sales deadline is Midnight, July 18, 2025.**
  • The Final draws are July 29, 2025.

* In the event that all tickets are sold by the Early Bird deadline of Midnight, June 20, 2025, then all draws would be held July 11, 2025 with AGLC approval. Draws will commence at 8:30 a.m. at the offices of MNP LLP located at 2000-330 5th Ave. SW, Calgary. The first draw would be for the Early Bird Prize, which would be followed by 501 remaining draws, drawn in order of retail value beginning with the prizes of least retail value. Top winners will be announced on Global News on July 15, 2025.

** In the event that tickets remain after the Early Bird deadline, then only the Early Bird draw will take place on July 11, 2025 commencing at 11:00 a.m. at the offices of MNP LLP located at 2000-330 5th Ave. SW, Calgary. Ticket sales would continue until the Final sales deadline of Midnight, July 18, 2025. All remaining draws would be held July 29, 2025, commencing at 8:30 a.m. at the offices of MNP LLP located at 2000-330 5th Ave. SW Calgary. The 501 draws would proceed and be drawn in order of retail value beginning with the prizes of least retail value. Top winners would be announced on Global News on July 31, 2025.

ARE THE PRIZES DONATED?

No. All prizes are purchased by the Calgary Health Foundation using a tender process.

HOW ARE THE WINNERS NOTIFIED?

All prize winners will be notified by the professional services firm of MNP LLP as to what they have won and how to claim their prize. A full list of winners will be published online at CalgaryMountainHomeLottery.com on July 15 or July 31, 2025.

IF I WIN, IS MY TICKET STILL IN FOR OTHER DRAWS?

Yes, after each draw, including the VIP and Early Bird Draw the winner’s name and ticket number are recorded and the ticket number remains eligible for all subsequent draws.

HOW MUCH WILL THE BRIDGELAND RIVERSIDE CONTINUING CARE CENTRE MAKE AND HOW WILL IT BE USED?

The projected profit of the Home Lottery Mountain Edition is over $2 Million. The lottery website has a full proceeds page regarding proceeds information.

WHAT DO YOU DO WITH MY PERSONAL INFORMATION YOU COLLECT?

Calgary Health Foundation respects your privacy. We do not rent, sell or trade our contact lists. Personal information collected will be used to keep you informed of our charitable work, funding needs and opportunities to volunteer or give. In addition, we will use this information to fulfill ticket orders, provide information on our future lotteries, contact prize winners and publicize the names of prize winners. WHY DO I HAVE MORE THAN ONE BROCHURE MAILED TO MY HOUSE?

If you are a previous buyer, you will have received a marketing brochure providing an early opportunity to purchase tickets before public advertising begins. If you have received more than one brochure specifically addressed to you, this could be due to different names or different ways of recording the address used when previously purchasing tickets. If you would like to update/remove an address, please contact the lottery help line toll free at 1-833-208-4388 or email [email protected].

Prize values shown are approximate retail values as of the date contracts were negotiated with suppliers. Due to housing market fluctuations, the market value of the real estate prizes may rise or diminish over time. Winner or charity is not entitled to the difference, if any, between the stated and actual market value at the time the prize is awarded. Prize values include applicable taxes.
